South Africa Limpopo MAPOCHS Mine Complete Equipment Procurement
Mapochs Mine is a vanadium-titanium iron mine located in Limpopo Province, South Africa, known for its extraction of vanadium-bearing titanomagnetite. The mine primarily exploits the main magnetite layer, which has an average thickness of 2.0 to 2.2 meters and a grade of about 1.5% V2O5. It was once a major global producer of vanadium raw materials, equipped with its own railway network, train station, and train depot. In 2017, it was acquired by China International Resources Limited and boasts a large mining area with potential for expansion. Its vanadium products are crucially used in modern energy storage batteries and have a significant impact on the global vanadium supply.
